By early afternoon Saturday the sun had disappeared behind low cloud for Queens II home game, in the 2ndXV league with Instonians II. As the afternoon went on it only got gloomier, as befitted Queens mood.
It took Instonians 8 minutes to open the scoring, when Max Preston went over, at the back of a maul. (There is some discussion as to who got the touchdown, so we’re happy to make any correction) Josh Eagleson converted for a 7-0 Instonians lead.
Though Instonians had most possession Queens fought hard in defence. On 22 minutes the dam burst. Rhys Davidson scored beside the posts, for Eagleson to convert.
