Lisnagarvey Hockey Club was the venue, on Wednesday evening for the Tier B Superleague Final between Regent House and Royal School Dungannon. A large school age crowd of very noisy supporters surrounded the pitch to enjoy the game. I can still hear the drum.
Both teams showed initial nerves but it was Armagh, who were first to settle, stringing passes around and moving the Portadown defence out of position.
A rasping strike from Annie Cunningham opened the scoring for Armagh on 8 minutes. Further pressure yielded a 2nd Annie Cunningham goal after 14 minutes. Armagh led 2-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.
