On Saturday, at lunchtime Ards II were the visitors to The Dub to play Queens II in a Women’s Junior One league fixture.

Attacks tested both keepers

The 1st half was end to end, with both keepers tested by attacks, but defences held firm. The half ended 0-0.

Aimee Adair, far left, opened the scoring for Ards

The deadlock was broken in the 34th minute when Aimee Adair scored from a narrow angle to put Ards 1-0 up. At the end of the 3rd quarter Ards led 1-0.
