We caught up with the Schools Cup Qualifying match between Carrickfergus Grammar and Antrim Grammar on Saturday morning.
The Antrim Grammar School team took an early 5-0 lead when their prop, Eoin Byrne, powered over through a crowd of defenders.

The Carrickfergus team regrouped and, after several periods of pressure in the Antrim half, they forced the Antrim team to concede a number of penalties. Ellis Branagh converted two of the penalty opportunities to give his team a 6-5 lead at halftime.
