I caught up with the Championship 2 match between Academy and Letterkenny at Roughfort on Saturday afternoon.
With my previous fixture running over and a bit of traffic between the two venues I didn’t arrive at Roughfort until the end of the first half. Academy were leading 5 – 3 at my arrival, Stuart Martin getting a try for Academy try and Letterkenny responding with a penalty, and that’s how it remained until half time.
The second half was ushered in with a heavy hail shower and the conditions seemed to suit the hosts who went 10 – 3 ahead after a try from Chris Nash who rumbled over from close range.
