We caught up with Cooke women and Blackrock College women in penultimate round of the All Ireland Cup round robin series late Saturday afternoon at Shaws Bridge Sports Complex.
It was a lively enough start from the home side but a break out by Rock was taken on by Beth Cregan and Shannon Heapes to send Mairead Ni Chathasaigh over in the corner for the opening score to give Rock a 0 – 5 lead.
Cooke looked for a response as they continued to apply pressure but a loose kick led to a break from Lisa Mullen which eventually saw Aoife Wafer crash over for Rocks second try on the 24th minute.
