Larne Grammar and Regent House 1st XI’s met in the Ulster Hockey Senior Plate final at Stormont Pavilion on Monday afternoon.
This was a tight game between two evenly matched teams. Larne had some success in the first quarter with Taylor Black and Katie Allen finding some joy down the right hand side with captain Keeva Bell linking nicely.
The pressure eventually resulted in a penalty corner and, after a bit of a scramble in the D, Olivia Houston kept her head to open the scoring giving Larne a 1 – 0 lead after 8 minutes.
