I caught up with the Ulster Hockey Senior Cup Final between Omagh and Mossley women’s teams at Cookstown High School on Sunday afternoon.
After taking a bit of time to find the venue and the pitch I arrived just as the game started and the first goal was scored, by Omagh’s Emma Fulton off a penalty corner, before I had got properly set up.
In fact it was a flying start for, the hot favourites, Omagh as they added a second goal three minutes later with Emma Buchanan finding the back of the net from open play to give Omagh a 2 – 0 lead.
