Rainey Endowed and Ballymena Academy Junior teams went head to head in the Junior Plate Final at Stormont Pavillion on a wet and gloomy Wednesday afternoon.
While the conditions may have been gloomy this was a cracker of a game between two very determined sides.

Rainey took the early initiative and pushed forward for most of the first half. Ballymena soaked it up and started to get forward more often as the half progressed but it was still against the run of play when the Academy took the lead with a battling goal from Isla Kearney just before the break to see the teams turn round with Ballymena defending a 0 – 1 lead.
