I caught up with the Ulster Rugby U14 Shield Final, between Bangor and a combined Randalstown and Cooke side, on Saturday morning at Meadowbank Sports Arena.
Bangor had the better of the opening exchanges and they worked a try after 5 minutes with their impressive No. 8 Scott McClelland diving over for the opening score to give Bangor a 5 – 0 lead.

The Randalstown Cooke side looked t work their way back into the game but Bangor enjoyed the bulk of territory and possession and they crossed for their second try 20 minutes later, through a midfield break from centre Isaac Gourley, to take the score to 10 – 0 as the teams changed ends.
