On a crisp Saturday morning Ballymena Academy welcomed Ballyclare High school to Galgorm road for a Subsidiary Shield Quarter Final match.
It was the visitors that started the brighter, winning and executing the first chance at goal with a penalty in the 3rd minute from Joel Flynn. 0 – 3

Ballymena weren’t long in getting into their rhythm though and it took just another 4 minutes for Tom McMaster to go over, with Tristan Ferguson racking up his first points to make it 7 – 3 to the hosts.
Another penalty after 11 minutes saw Ballyclare close the gap to just a point when Flynn slotted over his second kick. 7 – 6.
