Stormont hosted a double header of Senior Schoolgirl semi finals on Wednesday afternoon. The second game was an all-city game between Belfast Royal Academy, from the north and Strathearn from the east.
Whether it was nerves, but the game took a while to settle. In a scoreless first quarter, neither midfield could gain command, with few chances created.

A scoreless 2nd quarter ensued, with neither side in control.
It took until the 41st minute of the 3rd quarter for the deadlock to be broke. Lucie McNaught crashed home a blistering strike to give Strathearn a 1-0 lead. Strathearn turned the screw, denying BRA possession, cutting out ball to the forwards. Despite most of the play, Strathearn couldn’t find the net & the score remained . . .
