On Tuesday afternoon Banbridge hosted, local rivals, Friends School in an Ulster Schoolgirl Senior Cup quarter final tie at Havelock Park.

Through a scoreless 1st half, neither side could grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Whether it was nerves or the coldness of the day, no team could put together a series of passes to dominate. Consequently, the game was played in a very congested midfield. Banbridge forced two penalty corners and Friends one. Goalkeepers dealt with the few shots on target, as defences reigned supreme.
