Bangor Academy hosted Bangor Grammar in a Medallion Shield quarter final at Galgorm Road on Saturday Morning.

Bangor Grammar found themselves up against a strong Ballymena side who got off to a quick a quick start with the Ballymena No 7, Harry Lamont, crossing for a try after 3 minutes, converted by No 15 to give Ballymena a 7 -3 lead.

Ballymena’s Harry Lamont had a strong start with two early tries against Bangor.

A second try, for the home side followed four minutes later with No 12 crossing before Lamont went over with a short range effort, converted by 15 to take the score to 19 – 0.

Ballymen’s No 12 bags their second try against Bangor.

Ballymena’s No 11 wing crossed for a fourth try before No 13 joined his centre parter as the crossed for the final try of the first half to take the score to 29 – 0 at . . .
