Women’s Interprovincial: Ulster 0 Leinster 43

On Saturday evening, at Queens Arena, Ulster Women faced Leinster Women in the final round of games, in this year’s Women’s Interprovincial Championships. Ulster, who were smarting from defeats to Munster and Connacht, hoped for a good performance from the encounter.

Leinster moved up field, from kick off, denying Ulster possession and moving the ball wide, after forward carries. Emma Hooban opened the scoring for Leinster, when she dived over, under the posts. Dannah O’Brien converted for a 7 – 0 lead.

With Ulster unable to get out of their 22, Irish No 8, Hannah O’Connor crossed beside the posts. O’Brien’s conversion put Leinster 14 – 0 up in 14 minutes.
