Belfast Royal Academy hosted Methodist College Belfast at Roughfort on Saturday morning for a Schools Cup Round of Sixteen match.

Methody started the game strongly with an early try from Tyrese Abolarin as the pack powered over in the corner to give the visitors a 0 – 5 lead.

BRA hit back six minutes later with Ryan O’Hara converting a penalty attempt to reduce the deficit to two points with the score at 3 – 5.

Methody finished the half strongly with a try out wide by Matthew Gourley, converted by David Armstrong. Armstrong stepped up minutes later to add a penalty and take the half time score to 15 – 3 in Methody’s favour.
