Larne Grammar hosted Limavady Grammar for their Medallion Shield fixture at Lower Cairncastle Road on a bright but cold Saturday morning.
It was a tight game with Limavady having the better of the opening exchanges. However, Larne soaked up the pressure and the home side went ahead through a Will Millar penalty just short of the 20 minute mark.

It was a double whammy for Larne as their Ulster star Ryan McDowell broke from deep to score under the posts. Millar’s conversion giving Larne an unlikely 10 – 0 lead at half time.
