On Thursday afternoon Friends School faced off against Ballymena Academy, in Lisburn, the last remaining Medallion Shield 4th round tie, postponed from Saturday.

After initial attacks were snuffed out by both defences, Ballymena took the lead after 11 minutes. A speculative long ball was kicked up field. The Friends full back was swallowed up in the follow up & the ball turned over. Ollie Collins found space on the right to run in from 20 metres to score in the corner and put the visitors up 5-0.
More Ballymena pressure yielded an 18th minute try for Ben Millar following a series of forward drives for a 10 – 0 lead.
