Instonians and Annadale 3rd XI’s met in the Final of the Ulster Hockey Men’s Junior League 3 Cup Final at Stormont and a cold and wet New Years Eve.
It was a fairly even game but Instonian’s had the edge up front with Brandon Anderson and Matty McCord proving to be a handful for the Annadale defence.
Anderson opened the scoring for Inst in the first quarter with a penalty corner strike on the edge of the D, after a cross from Aaron Dunican, to give Inst a 1 – 0 lead.
