My third game on Saturday was at ‘The Dub’, where Queens III (Pirates) hosted Grosvenor II in the Crawford Cup.

Queens took an early lead through a brace of Charlie Harte penalty goals on 9 & 12 minutes to go 6-0 up.  Grosvenor countered with a Johnny Allen penalty goal to go 3-6.

Harry Patterson, scrum cap, scored Queens 1st try

Scrum half, Harry Patterson, increased Queens lead with a try, after 24 minutes, before James Allen, added another on 30 minutes to give Queens a comfortable 16-3 halftime lead.

In the 2nd half, Queens seemed to relax and their handling let them down. Robbie Duggan intercepted outside his 22 and had the gas to dot down under the . . .
