All Ireland Junior Cup: Clogher Valley 30 Enniskillen 18

On Saturday evening, reigning champions Clogher Valley, took on Championship One rivals, Enniskillen, in the All Ireland Junior Cup Final, at Kingspan Stadium. A large, vociferous, partisan crowd was on hand to support both teams.

Clogher Valley pressed from kick off, confining Enniskillen to their 22. A number of kickable penalties were spurned before David Maxwell kicked a 12th minute penalty goal to give Clogher a 3-0 lead.

On 19 minutes Tommy Coulter drove over from close range far out on the right. Maxwell landed the challenging conversion for a 10-0 Valley lead.

Enniskillen breaks yielded 1st half penalty goals

A brace of Eddie Keyes penalty goals on 29 and 35 minutes reduced Enniskillen’s deficit to 10 – 6.
