On very dreich Saturday, at lunchtime, Queen’s University met Galway in an All Ireland Women’s League Division 2 game at The Dub.

Elizabeth Williams opened the scoring for Galway

Queen’s started brightly, forcing saves from the Galway keeper and it was slightly against the run of play when Elizabeth Williams opened the scoring for Galway, after 11 minutes. Galway led 1-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.

Defences were on top for most of the game

Defences cancelled attacks out in a scoreless 2nd quarter, with much of the play in midfield. Galway led 1-0 at halftime.
