Banbridge Academy welcomed Larne Grammar to the Academy grounds for a second round Pool B game in the Schools Cup.

Banbridge academy faced a stiff breeze blowing up the pitch but the established territory in the Larne 22 from the kick off and full back Ryan Matthews dived over for the opening score, after 3 minutes, off the back of an attacking scrum. Matthews added the conversion to give Banbridge a 7 – 0 lead.

Larne used the conditions well in the first half and they worked their way up field for Jonny Dallas to chase down a chip from Ethan Dunkan to take the score to 5 – 7 four minutes later.
