Medallion Shield: Larne Grammar 27 Strabane Academy 10

We caught up with Larne Grammar and Strabane Academy for an entertaining Medallion Shield match at Lower Cairncastle Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Larne made a confident start to the match, playing with a fair amount of composure, and they took the lead after 5 minutes thanks to a try from Harry Crawford, out wide, to take a 5 – 0 lead.

Strabane looked for a response but Larne were working overtime at the breakdown and after a couple of chances near the Strabane line the home team added a penalty, from Ollie Reid, to their total to push the score out to 8 – 0 after 11 minutes.
