Ophir played Randalstown in a Ulster Rugby Women’s Championship match at UUJ on Sunday afternoon, the match pitching first against third in the championship table before kick off.
Randalstown took it to league leaders Ophir in some style with Zara Coney opening the scoring after 8 minutes to give the visitors a 0 – 5 lead.

Martina O’Kane was next to cross, at the end of the first quarter, and with Megan McIntosh adding the extras the visitors extended their lead to 0 – 12.
Randalstown continued to make the most with their possession and Samantha McIlreavy added their third try on the half hour mark. McIntosh adding the extras to give Randalstown a 0 – 19 lead as the teams changed ends.
