In the first game of a Superleague sem-final double header, played at Lisnagarvey HC, Methodist College played Belfast rivals, Strathearn.
Strathearn started the brighter, forcing Methody to defend, bringing keeper Enya Darby into action, in a scoreless 1st quarter.
In the 2nd quarter Methody found their rhythm. On 19 minutes a shot by Erin Pim, from the left, deflected in off a Strathearn defender on the line to put Methody 1-0 up. Strathearn responded but couldn’t break the Methody defence. Methody led 1-0 at halftime.
