On Saturday morning I managed to squeeze in a second game, with a short trip to the Castlereagh Campus, when Belfast Met/Instonians played Virginia in an Ulster Rugby U18 Provincial League South Fixture.

Early exchanges were even with both teams enjoying possession. The Met opened the scoring, through a Tyler Davies try, after 16 minutes.
Virginia responded, after a period of pressure. Cathal Nevin’s 25th minute try, converted by Michael Pienaar gave Virginia a 5 – 7 lead. Only 2 minutes later The Met retook the lead, 10 – 7, with a Peter Gordon try, after space was created on the left.
Not to be outdone, Virginia retook the lead after 30 minutes, with an Aaron Byres try converted . . .
