We caught up with a three match blitz for the Medallion teams at Larne Grammar, Belfast Royal Academy and Rainey Endowed early Saturday morning at Larne Grammar’s Upper Cairncastle Road playing fields.
As we went into the final game of the Medallion Blitz at Larne Grammar on Saturday morning, Rainey endowed needed a win by more than 5 points to pip BRA to the title, hosts Larne were looking for their first win.
Larne quickly reversed the form of the earlier matches with Ryan McDowell running in a try from kick off to give the Grammar a 7 – 0 lead after Will Miller’s conversion.
McDowell scored his first before I’s returned from my comfort break but I’d plenty of opportunities to record his second . . .
