We caught up with a three match blitz for the Medallion teams at Larne Grammar, Belfast Royal Academy and Rainey Endowed early Saturday morning at Larne Grammar’s Upper Cairncastle Road playing fields.
The second match on Saturday morning feature BRA against Rainey Endowed. Unsurprisingly it was BRA who were sharpest at the start having just finished against Larne Grammar. Aaron Brolly got the reward for their early pressure bustling through for the opening score, converted by Chris O’Hara to give the Academy a 7 – 0 lead.
Rainey worked their way into the match and ten minutes later Ross Fullerton slid over in the corner for an unconverted try after an earlier effort near the posts had been ruled out. This left the score at 7 – 5 in BRA . . .
