Irish Senior Cup: Ulster University Elks 3 Queen’s University 0

We caught up with the Women’s Irish Senior Cup tie between Ulster University Elks and Queen’s University at Jordanstown on Saturday afternoon.

The Elks have made a good start to the season and they went into the game as favourites against a Queen’s side who are settling into their new season after a few changes during the summer.

Gabby Scott (centre) celebrates her score with her team mates.

Despite enjoying the lions share of territory and possession it took Elks a while to break down the Queen’s defence, their opening goal coming towards the end of the second quarter with Gabby Scott finding the net to give Elks a 1 – 0 lead as the teams changed ends.
