I caught up with Ulster University Elks and University College Dublin 2nd XI sides on saturday afternoon as they competed in the Irish Junior Cup at Jordanstown.
The 12:30 pass back was pushed back to 12:48 and UCD looked anxious to put this game to bed as the pressed from the start.
The visitors got reward for their efforts with three goals in a six minute burst at the end of the first quarter. Anna McCarthy netted the first before a quick brace from Orla O’Donnell tipped the game firmly in UCD’s favour with a 0 – 3 lead at the end of the first quarter.
