All Ireland Hockey League: Pegasus 4 Ards 1

We caught up with Pegasus and Ards Ladies at the Dub on Wednesday night for their All Ireland Hockey League match.

It was a match I was eagerly anticipating, unfortunately my new “low light” lens has been sent away for repairs so I was trying out a new lens and camera combo which didn’t quite work but I managed to get some shots with a low shutter speed.

Preview in new tab

Though unbeaten this season, Pegasus started this game a point behind Ards by virtue of two draws to Ards’ one win against, fellow Ulster club, Belfast Harlequins. However, the lean mean red machine were keen to make a point and they certainly did with a penalty corner goal in the opening minutes, courtesy of Rebecca McConnell.

Pegasus’ Rebecca McConnell opened the scoring from a penalty corner.
