We caught up with the women’s EYHL match Between Belfast Harlequins and Old Alexandria on Saturday afternoon at Deramore Park. The teams have had quite different starts to the season, Old Alex at the top of the table following two wins and a draw and Quins at the bottom with the Belfast side yet to pick up a win in their first three outings.
Quins made light of their league position in the first half. Old Alex took the lead after a Deirdre Duke goal on the 8th minutes but the home side forced a string of penalty corners throughout the first quarter but were only able to convert one when Claire Whiteside found the net on the 13th minute.
