Sunday afternoon saw the visit of Co Cavan to play Belfast Harlequins, at Deramore Park, in an Ulster Rugby Women’s Premiership Fixture.

For both teams this was their first competitive fixture of the season and for many of the women this was their first competitive game. It told, passing was sloppy with many knocks on and there was a lack of continuity. Both teams tried to put into practise, what they had been coached, but there was a lack of cohesion. The game was largely fought out between the ‘22s’, with try lines threatened briefly.

The stalemate was broken . . .
