Larne Grammar School took on Ballyclare High School in a 1st XV squad friendly at Upper Cairncastle Road, Larne.

Larne had a good, start scoring the first try of the game by prop Cian Ferguson, Ballyclare fought back scoring a try by David Gillespie followed by a conversion by Joel Flynn to take the score to 5 – 7 in Ballyclare’s favour.

Ballyclare scored a second try mid-way through the half as winger Neil McCrea crossed for Flynn to covert to take the score to 5 – 14.

Neal McCrea scored Ballyclare’s second try.

The visitors kept on pushing and scored a well taken try by winger Isaac Shield, converted by Flynn, to took the score to 5 – 21 at half time.
