Ulster Hockey held a Development Game on Sunday, at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, between Ulster U16 & Ulster U18 Girls.

In the first few minutes the U16s seemed intimidated by their older opponents and conceded a 2nd minute goal, when Kia McCartney, Coleraine GS/ Coleraine HC, touched in a cross.

There were many individual battle in midfield

Play settled & there was no further scoring in the 1st quarter nor the 2nd quarter, though the U18s had the lion’s share of possession, leaving them up 1-0 at the break.

Eva Gaston’s strike opened up a 2 goal lead for the U18s
