On Saturday afternoon City of Armagh met Queen’s University Belfast in the Senior Cup, as part two of a double header with the Junior Cup, at the Kingspan Stadium.
Both sides were adventurous in the first minutes with searing breaks stopped by scrambling defences. Play moved between the 22s, with both sides keen to move the ball along the backs. The deadlock was broken on 18 minutes when Queens’ Conor McKee found a gap to get over for a try converted by Ritchie McMaster for a 7-0 lead.
Armagh responded after 27 minutes when Harry Boyd converted a penalty attempt to bring the score back to 7-3.
