Banbridge and Ballymoney met in the delayed Denman Shield Semi Final at Lisnagarvey on Saturday afternoon. The winner to progress to the Denman Shield Final at Stormont on Saturday 14th May.
It was a cagey enough first half, played in bright sunshine at Garvey on Saturday afternoon. Ballymoney, with Irish international Katie Mullan prominent, seemed to have the lions share of territory and possession but Banbridge worked hard to keep their goal intact.
Banbridge’s ace Steff Ardis seemed to be putting in a lot of work in defence during the first half but we started to get some of her trademark forward surges in the second half as Bann’s midfield started . . .
