Queen’s University Men’s Hockey team finished off their season in style with a 2 – 1 win against North Down in the Irish Hockey Trophy Final at Havelock Park, Banbridge early on Saturday morning.
Despite the early start it didn’t take long for the teams to get going and they battled out an even first quarter with no goals scored.

North Down looked to be getting on top in the second quarter but a late strike by Queen’s Conor Irwin saw the students take a 1 – 0 lead into the half time break.
