We caught up with four EHYL qualifying matches at the picturesque St Columbas College, Dublin, on Saturday with four Ulster sides in the hunt for a place in their respective All Ireland Leagues.
The early kick off featured Instonians who were up against Dublin’s Railway Union in the first Men’s EYHL qualifier.

The teams battled out a close first quarter with Railway probably edging it, in terms of possession, but Instonians came more into the game as the half progressed with Mark Gleghorne prominent for the Belfast side
It was, however, somewhat against the run of play when Instonians took a 0 – 1 lead just past the half hour mark with Gavin Lecky
