Championship 1 has been a delight to cover this season, being, largely, highly competitive games at a great standard and there can be no denying that both Instonians and Clogher Valley have set the pace.
It’s somewhat fitting that the Championship, and progression to the All Ireland play offs, came down to this game in the final week of the League season.
The opening exchanges were cagey enough but the Instonians pack seemed to have the edge and they worked two penalties in the first quarter which were converted by scrum half Matthew Keane.
