I popped down to Havelock park for a double header of Hockey on Saturday afternoon.
In the first game Banbridge entertained Ards in a Premier Women top 6 tussle.
Ards had wrapped up the league on Wednesday evening with their win against Ulster University Elks but their was no letting up from the champions against a competitive Banbridge who were looking to catch near neighbours Lisnagarvey in the battle for a top 4 finish.
Banbridge enjoyed the lions share of possession in the first quarter but were unable to break down the Ards defence who seemed adept at showing their opponents the outside before closing then down as they tried to cut in.
