The McDowell Plate, between Sullivan Upper School and Limavady Grammar School, was played concurrently with the Junior Shield so I only caught the last ten minutes of normal play in this one.
At the time of my arrival the game was still scoreless with both teams pushing hard for the winner.
Despite the best efforts of both sets of players that’s how it ended in normal time and the teams went into an exciting set of runs to decide the winner.
