Yesterday’s Gibson Cup for 3rd XIs, at Stormont, was a keenly contested final between Strathearn and The Royal School Armagh.

A scoreless 1st half was played in midfield with defences well on top, rarely was a keeper troubled.

In the 3rd quarter the game came to life. Kate Hunter broke the deadlock with a goal for Strathearn on 35 minutes, only for Rachel Redmond to equalise for Armagh 5 minutes later.
