At Sunday lunchtime Queens faced off against Omagh Academicals in an Ulster Premiership fixture at The Dub Playing Field, Upper Malone.

Despite what the score line suggests neither team imposed themselves on the other. It was a game marred by handling errors with little continuity because of its stop start nature.

Queens took the lead with a Shannon Buller try after 8 minutes, following her fine break. 

Despite territory it was on 15 minutes later, after 23 minutes, before Queens scored again, this time a close range try from Ciara Grogan, converted by Buller, to move their lead on to 12-0.

Queens defence was resolute

Omagh did get out of their half, on occasions but attacks . . .
