Early Monday afternoon Methodist College met Banbridge Academy the Quarter Final of the Ulster School Girls Junior Cup. This cup is for U14 students and is played over 2 x 20 minute halves.

Banbridge attacked from ‘push back’ and created several opportunities in front of goal and will rue their inability to capitalise on any of the chances.
Methody gradually worked their way into the game, closing down midfield and denying Banbridge ball for their forwards. The majority of the game was now played in the Banbridge half.
Eventually the deadlock was broken after 16 minutes, when Erin P struck from open play to give Methody the lead. Only 2 minutes later Methody doubled their lead, when Anna H scored.
