On Tuesday evening Ireland met South Africa in Match 2 of the Spar Indoor Series at Gormanstown Park. Ireland lead the series 1-0, courtesy of a 3-2 win the previous evening.
Ireland made 5 changes to their line up from the night before, including 2 players, making their indoor debuts.

The first minutes were frantic and frenetic, as both teams sought to establish dominance. Danielle De Oliveira opened the scoring for South Africa after 8 minutes from a penalty corner. Then literally seconds later, South Africa caught the Irish defence cold, when Kayla De Waal scored from open play. South Africa led 2-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.
