On Saturday Queens entertained Lurgan in EYHL 2 Pool 2 fixture at The Dub Playing Fields.
Lurgan’s aggressive defence closed Queens down from the start, allowing them little time on the ball, and consequently there was little play in the Lurgan half.
Chloe McBride scored Lurgan’s first goal after 8 minutes of domination and Joanne Reid’s goal on 14 minutes was just reward for their domination. Lurgan held a 2 – 0 first quarter lead.
Queens worked their way back into the game in a scoreless second quarter. Lurgan deserved their 2 – 0 halftime lead.
The third quarter was again scoreless, though both sides created chances and both keepers . . .
