On Wednesday, Ballyclare High School played The Royal School Armagh in the first semi final of the Ulster School Cup, at Lisnagarvey HC, in what can only be described as challenging conditions.

Ballyclare, from push back, took the game to Armagh, not allowing them to settle. After a series of unsuccessful attacks Issy McGrugan turned in a loose ball following a penalty corner to give Ballyclare an 11thminute lead.
Despite most of the play from being in the Armagh half there was no further scoring in the quarter, nor in the second or the third quarters. Ballyclare would come to rue a series of missed chances, which could have sealed the game.
