In the women’s tournament, Ards stole the show with 2 comfortable wins and an impressive 15 goals from 6 different goal scorers despite being without Irish Indoor International Amy Benson.
Queen’s returned from their early defeat against Ards to scrape a narrow 6 – 4 win over newbies Coleraine at the end of the day. Coleraine’s rising star Zara Craig had a solid debut, getting amongst the goals against Queen’s.
With only the winning women’s side qualifying for the All Ireland Championships, Ards look like the favourites.
